Neighborly

I start to feel–

as the bus kneels

and the Dog’s Bark quiets,

remembering my routine

–like there is space.

For me, or (I pray to remember)

There is space for another,

Stood on the curb.

With every reason to see.

There is space.

For one more, on that never full bus

In hard times,

Food is kept in the belly of a brother.
